Welcome to the unofficial beginning of summer! All the summer feels – BBQs, swimming pools, parades, constant activity, excitement, and spontaneity. For me, summer yang (fiery/assertive/active) energy screams Growing with the Flow!
In the same way, we rested, nurtured, and planted seeds over the winter and spring, and we now get to ignite, blossom and turn up the heat in our lives as we ramp up for summer. Paying attention to titration to keep the energy steady, letting the body acclimate along the way, and remembering too much, fast, and too soon spells trouble, lol!
In both the literal and figurative sense, it’s the most potent time for GROWTH; conditions are ripe to expand and fill ourselves with love, joy, and passion. It’s time to live to the fullest expression of our fiery being.
Soaking in all the light and warmth of long days full of light followed by short nights to rest and recover. When in sync with this season, you may naturally require less sleep.
I love riding this wave of Flow!
Consider this an invitation to open up to the energy of the heart and allow it to speak to what brings you the most joy; go ahead and tune into the heart’s wisdom and let its resonance be felt throughout the body with reverence for responsibility and logic yet letting actions be led by joy and fun.
These feelings are familiar to your system. I would bet you are familiar with expressions like
“He/She plays with the heart” or “His/Her heart was not in it.”
When we are in flow with the essence of the heart, we realize it can calibrate what we pay attention to in our minds. Our heart informs the mind. Happiness is not hard-wired into us; safety is!
Therefore, having the heart on board is important, aligning us with what we want to attract.
Creating more coherence and, as a result, more flow between the body and the mind, it’s a beautiful thing! It relates and communicates to both past and present, so in our current meditation practice, we can tune into the vibration of the heart and let it lead the way, easing the concerns of the safety of the mind.
If you are falling in love with someone, do you have to be reminded to pay attention to them???
Or if you are super excited about a vacation, it takes time to get your mind off it to pay attention to work or school.
When we are mindful of what is in our hearts, happiness is the natural result, so why not train it? Feeling safe and relaxed must preexist to cultivate joy and happiness or bliss.
Try this to activate this abundant heart energy.
